The birth of my eldest son showed me, in the most personal way, how deeply our healthcare system can fall short for those of us who carry and birth babies. Walking through that experience without the support I needed is what sparked my calling to stand beside others, to hold space, and to help create birth experiences that feel safe, affirming, and true to what each family wants and needs. Since then, I’ve poured myself into learning, growing, and training so I can keep showing up with the knowledge, skills, and heart this work deserves.

I believe birth is sacred. An inheritance from our ancestors that deserves care, reverence, and respect. My work is especially rooted in serving Black, Brown, and Indigenous families, queer and trans parents, and disabled parents—those most often failed by the system. As a queer and trans person myself, raising a trans son and another born to a trans father, I know the beauty and complexity of family in all its forms. That lived truth shapes how I support others—with tenderness, advocacy, and a deep trust in each person’s power to bring new life into the world.
